Any chance we can have a better way of adding / finding the auto post images?  Some of these images I've seen when auto-posting to blogs are at best tenuous or duplicates and in many examples are not related.

Thanks

Hi davbel,

We are aware of the auto-posting of images from Flickr and the lack luster performance seen from the auto-posting of images from time to time.

Unfortunately that's seen with any and all images grabbed from Flickr for any service such as this.  I will get with Jon about any future plans to improve this feature.

Thank you for your patience.

davbel, the problem is that there are not many sources of images that one can use fairly safely on one's site.

A thing to bear in mind is this: the fact that there is an image on the page is, for most site visitors more important than what the image is. That's because the image is decoration to the page, it helps with the first impression, not much more.
That's why repeated images are not much of a problem. Most visitors will not even go to enough pages on your site to even notice, but even if they do so how will that change their impression?

I have spent a lot of money building out an image resource for my own use. I have thousands of images that I can use in lots of ways, but if I were to use them on a niche site against posts as with ArticleBuilder they'd be duplicating all the time. ;)

If you become concerned that SEs might pick up on the duplication, not that it is an issue, you could look at using a plugin that automatically renames images and their meta data. WP SEO Images will do that for you. Used correctly it will ensure that each image has a site/niche relevant set of meta data and is unique to each appearance.
