Article Builder Newbie has comments and questions
« on: April 02, 2014, 12:28:00 PM »
Hi,

Just purchased subscription a few days ago and have setup one WP site to get a daily auto-post.
(However, plan to use AB mostly via api and 3rd party programs.)

Overall, pretty pleased with quality and ease of use, but...

Comments -
  • Surprised that the instructional videos are so hard to find... they should be all linked to from AB
  • The algo for adding videos and pics is crude - my site is financial and the very first video featured one women sucking another womans toes  :-X
Why? Looking at the YouTube source code for that video's YT page, I did indeed find that the very last of many varied tags had my keyword, but obviously popularity / relevance as determined by G/YT would keep this from happening - the technology exists!
So much for using that feature.  :'( (The pic on the next post was G-rated but fairly irrelevant.)

Questions -
  • I have 10 pages (on above mentioned site) that are highly optimized - maybe too optimized by latest G standards (using ClickBumpSEO), the posts as they come in are relevant but not particularly optimized.*
  • I'm wondering what the general consensus is on this? Post as drafts and optimize before publishing, or count on volume / activity for results?

Also, does anyone know how the indexing feature works?
i.e.- What service it uses? Reliability? etc...

*I do have a super-spun resource box that over time will link back to homepage for dozens of longtails, synonyms, brand name, and irrlevant anchor-text.

Thanks for reading this.

Hi mtntgr,

We appreciate your feedback about Article Builder.  Unfortunately the addition of videos and pics can be quite random and we use an algorithm to weed out irrelevant content, but it's not guaranteed to work perfect with every post.  For my own personal use of AB and the auto-post of videos or content, I've found that I must monitor the images and videos on the site especially if you're posting to your main/money making sites.

As for the content that is posting the content will be general in nature not specifically optimized for your sub-topic or niche, or even optimized with the specific headings or tags you want.  With any PLR content that is auto-posted (especially if you're posting to your money making sites) you want to ensure the quality is what you want or need.

Straight-out-of-the-box AB content is best served for tiered link building and NOT as your main source of content for your main sites.  If you intend to post any PLR content to your main site, it's best to modify the content to be 100% unique and to fit your blogs specific niche.

Of course that requires more time, however, you will see better results if you intend to use AB content for your main/authority/money-making sites.

all good points
however, that first video choice couldn't have been weirder ;-)
and i've got other plugins that grab videos and this doesn't happen so maybe an upgrade is in order...?

btw, still waiting to hear about the previously mention plugin's availability...
