Single use rewrite?
« on: April 21, 2018, 08:50:59 PM »
I have a bunch of words in my Favorites. I work in a medical/psychological niche so the language is pretty particular.

Is there a way to have TBS show my synonyms in one color and the original word/phrase in another. So I can see the original terms and then select the most appropriate synonym from my Favorites? Because of changes in context, some synonyms are not very good in particular sentences even thought they work very well in other contexts. So I need to hand edit to get better spins.

If I can figure out how to differentiate between the original word/phrase and those from my Favorites, with TBS's help, I can do spins very quickly. Or at least I am pretty confident I can.
..........
I have another unrelated question.
What is the spin hierarchy?
Does TBS first replace all phrases and then look for single words?
If it does this, how can I make sure to not get nested words/spins. I am not sure what they are called. Sometimes the context can be different if it will change the words inside a spun phrase. For instance, "cover your a*s" is not the same as "cover your donkey". I would like to avoid TBS spinning words within already spun text. I think it greatly reduces contextual errors.

Thank you for considering this question.

The original word should always be first in the spin brackets, so if you spin the word "present" you would get {now|gift|present} for instance. There is a tool called "remove original" in the icons and it removes the first synonym in every spin group.

Yes phrases first, then words. I am on my Tablet so don't have TBS open. There is a tick box bottom right for not spinning within already spun groups. There is also a tool for never spinning particular words called "protected" words. They appear in bold.

That is dynamite information. Thank you.
I wish there was a box on her to "tick" to say thank you so you could get some recognition.
Great answer.
