combining favorites with user thesaurus
« on: April 18, 2018, 06:27:34 PM »
Is there a way to combine my niche specific thesaurus with the crowd thesaurus? So i can use both at once?
I am in the addiction niche. So "alcoholism" can also be called:
*alcohol addiction
*alcohol dependence

sometimes it may be called other things like:
AUD
Alcohol Use Disorder

because alcoholism is a progressive problem, it is a spectrum.

Anyway, how do I get my niche specific stuff to work with the crowd thesarurs?

This desire is complicated by the fact that I let my subscription to TBS lapse. So I lost my old thesaurus.
Is there anyway to get it back.
Is it possible to import some already spun articles into TBS and get it back. I still have 45 or so articles that I spun by hand with TBS. Is that a way to retrieve my favorites more quickly?

Is there a way out of this or do I just start over from the beginning?

Thank you for considering this question

If you subscribe to The Best Spinner using the same Paypal account as before, any user thesaurus should come back.

I'm not quite sure what you're wanting to do when you say combine your thesaurus with the crowd thesaurus, but there's no reason you can't run spinning through twice, once for each - at least if I'm understanding what you want to do.

my login email is the same, but the passwords are different.
Would that make a difference? because I am not finding anything when I try to Manage My Favorites.

Also, my new password does not work, but my old password does.

So if it is the same email and I am using the old password and I should have my thesaurus, why can't I find it?

I am lost.

Are you on the same computer as previously?

The password wouldn't make a difference because your user account is the same. It's definitely the same account/Paypal and so on?

Yes it is the same box but no it is not the same computer.
How is that you might ask?
Because I had some problems and I had to install an image to restore my computer. So I probably wiped it out or possibly I didn't image it when I should have. Anyway I can't find it.

So it is the same but different. TBS exports thesaurus as .txt file so I cannot find that. I can only look in folders that I would use for backing up TBS stuff because I don't know what I would have named it to get Win 10 to do a search.

So computer problems and sloppy, sloppy record keeping hurt me this time.

But it was still a great suggestion and I will check OneDrive to see if anything looks right. I would not have thought to do that without you.
Thanks

In Win 7, you can do a search using the start button, I don't know whether it's the same in Win 10. For any text file, I would type in *.txt DO NOT press the return key or use the mouse. Using the * tells the search function to seach for anything. Using *.txt tells it to seach for any file ending in .txt You can also use it for partial seaches, so thes*.txt tells it to seach for any file starting with thes and having any character after that and ending in .txt
