Google Analytics Information
« on: January 31, 2014, 10:32:47 PM »
Hello Forum

I am using Google Analytcis and my site is now enlisted in organic searches. Organic traffic on my site is increased but searches through keywords are not mentioned. In "Not Provided" area number of visitors is increase. I have planed to received traffic on inner pages that are in organic searches not home page. Why searches through keywords are not shown ?

How long ago did you set it up? There probably has not been enough time for the data to collect. How many of your site's pages are indexed in Google?

This will not change any more: Last year google closed the source for keywords in your organic search. As far as I remember Bing followed the move.
They have switched to https "for better privacy" but as a paying adwords member you still  get the data for paid traffic...
There will be trickles of keyword data from minor other search engines (I don't know how russian Yandex and chinese Baidu are handling this)
But for the majority of searches we now live in a "not provided" world :-(

For more info just google "google keyword not provided" and you will find a plethora of information...

That figures! LOL, as long as they get paid, privacy is not an issue, vomit!!

MBA Trainer,

I suggest StatCounter, it's free, they have all that data you want, and more and it's better than letting Google see anything too closely on your sites anyway. It's just another way for them to spy on websites.

I don't use anything of theirs, including, GWT.

Well... Statcounter won't give you keyword data, too... The data has been cut at the source and no tracking software be it google analytics or any other 3rd party software will be able to show it.
While with stat counter you are more independent from google, it is still a 3rd party application and you don't low what they will do with your data.
If you have privacy concerns you should switch to something self hosted like Piwik - none of your data will go out to anyone and you still get state of the art tracking...

On Google Web master Tools: I find them pretty useful and (other than Google Analytics) by using Google webmaster tools you don't give any data to google but google gives quite a bit of data tot you. In addition you can use the disavow tool to disavow bad links to your site which can help you restore rankings if your site has taken a plunge...
