Organize redirected links so you can find links you made
« on: October 01, 2011, 07:49:08 PM »
I make numerous redirect links to 'pretty up' affiliate links, shorten long links, put in print books, etc.

I've looked all over for a software I could use on my pc like Affiliate's Organizer online.

I hate having my info on someone else's site - just cuz it would bite if they took their site away.

I like being in control of my info.

It would just need to list:

1. the program/ product or site
2. merchant name /industry
3. main url of #1
4. members login url if needed
5. login info of #4 if needed
4. redirect url
5. comments (I paste my copy of how I promote it & where for reference)

Then it could show the listing of merchant/products alphabetically so you could scroll down till you can click on the one you need.

It would be a great help to me an many others I'm sure.

Karen this is a very good idea, and I have never even thought of anything
like this before.

What a good way to organize affiliate info! Just don't know how I could have
missed thinking of something that will be so simple to do!!

Sure going to do it now, got a lot on hindsight to do, but it should not take to
long!

I appreciate you posting this!!

You could probably create something like this on a spreadsheet but it would be an awful lot easier if there were a program to do the organising for you.  ;D

I've used Clipmate (http://www.thornsoft.com/clipmate7.htm) for years.  Not as automatic as what you envisioned, but very flexible.

It automatically captures from your clipboard into a small local database.  Newly clipped text/images go into a temporary database and will eventually expire.  You can create permanent "collections" which will never expire, give each item in the collection a header name like "TheBestSpinner", and edit the info within the collection like any text editor.  You capture the necessary information using Ctrl-C, then organize it within a clip.  I depend on Clipmate for capturing text and images into collections I've named "Affiliates", "Purchased", "Hosts", and etc.

If I want the serial number or affiliate info for TheBestSpinner, I click Ctrl-Alt-C to bring up Clipmate, select the "Purchased" collection, then "TheBestSpinner", then highlight the desired info and Ctrl-C, which puts that portion of the info into the clipboard, so I can Ctrl-V paste just the serial# or the affiliate or the URL for the Forum or whatever.

Hi everyone

This application is something that I have been considering purchasing.  (I use excel at the moment for these purposes, but it can get a bit messy to keep organized.) It looks to be easy to use and flexible in the way a user can utilize it.

It seems to be highly recommended by Roslind Gardner who is a well known affiliate expert. She states that she uses it herself.

Its a bit more costly than what is mentioned above, but might meet your needs.

Here is a link to the product site for you to check it out if you wish.

Hope it helps.
