Article Submission Software

I am still relatively new at Search Engine Optimisation but one thing I have learnt from reading quite a lot about it, is that in order to rank high with Search Engines a website needs to have a lot of links to it, or alternatively very little competition for the keyphrase that one is aiming to get ranked for.

Jonathan, you already have quite a lot going on in the 'Links' area what with 'MyWayLinks' '1 Way Links' etc. Have you considered the possibility of creating an 'Article Submission Software' for automating submission of unique articles to Article Directories?

I appreciate that there are already quite a few companies/websites providing this sort of service, both free and at a cost, however, I am sure that if this was something you considered doing, it would seem to be a logical progression of TheBestSpinner.

I would be interested to read the views of other forum members on this suggestion.

I have considered it, but it's a big can of worms with lots ofmaintenance involved so I'm not sure I want to tackle it right now.

Thanks for the reply.

That's a pity.  I have been investigating some of the existing services and felt that with your knowledge of content research (Instant Article Wizard and Answer Analyst and Shablast) and your TheBestSpinner creation tool, that the next logical step would be the distribution of that content, ensuring that each submitted article to each different directory was indeed unique and perfectly readable.

A bit like a 'One Stop Shop' so to speak.

Is it something you may consider doing in the future?

I'll add my 2 cents worth, Jon.  It sure would be a logical extension of what you are doing now. One by one, you are tackling most of the areas where we are most likely to need help, if most of us are to remain 1 or 2 person shops. This tool could tie a lot of things together, as JohnG stated...like a one man shop.  I know you have had so many things on your plate lately that had to be gotten off the ground, that this is probably a tough to one add on. to your load.  Maybe you could shop the concept among some of your friends, who could do the legwork and then pick it up when you're ready to devote some time to it. I sure like the idea.

I'll stretch my neck out here to add my two cents. The reality is there isn't a need for something that will submit articles to more then a handfull of article directories at most. In this case, more doesn't mean better!

In fact, all you really need is the short list Jon already gives us, that's it. I've written about this elsewhere in these forums so I won't repeat myself here. But it is really sorta silly to try to submit your articles to "thousands" of article directories (as some tools claim). The article directories don't appreciate this and many of the better ones, the ONLY ones worth submitting to, will reject automated submissions.

So, I have to agree with Jon.. it's a can of worms not worth opening.  8)
