Any Room for Merchants?
« on: February 06, 2012, 12:25:12 PM »
Hi

I'm new to the forum so please excuse anything dumb I might say.

I abandoned affiliate marketing. I gave it a try, but it's too hard for me. I went back to my roots as a merchant. I'm curious. Could a merchant make use of your affiliate tools to drive traffic to his storefronts? I'm especially interested in your new Keyword Canine program. My stores are converting orders, but I need to increase the traffic coming to them to generate more orders. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not fishing for affiliates. I'm really trying to apply affiliate marketing principals to my store sites.

Yes, I believe so. I developed a web site for a local business (web site has now been taken over by his wife). Wrote a couple of articles for him and got them accepted by ezinearticles. Used keyword snatcher to add keywords to the articles. He is getting business. Haven't done an awful lot in promoting but the business is coming in steadily. I would see KeywordCanine as providing long tail keywords that could help drive traffic to his business and also possibly identify niche sites that would fit in with his business.

In the end it is all about the same stuff, web pages, keywords and backlinks.
That means most tools and techniques are going to apply to your business.

You may have an advantage though: you might find that you are not competing for very competitive keywords and so can get good rankings (and traffic) more easily than some of us chasing after such golden grails as 'make money online'. :)
