What to do?? Problem!!
« on: July 23, 2010, 05:53:49 PM »

I have an article on ezine, that is showing in the stats as 1 Ezine Publisher.

Which means that one site is using the article.  Fine GOOD FOR ME, RIGHT? - NOT!!!!

If they have paid for the article, I am not aware of it, as I did not receive anything about them using it.

I have researched and the site that is using it has eliminated  my links.  >:(

Are they allowed to do that?   ???
If not, is there anything that I can do about it?   ???

I was under the impression (especially on ezine) that they had to leave your links in the article.

Somebody who know something please answer?

I hate when something like that happens. You might want to check out the following resources over at EzineArticles to see what your best course of action (if any) might be.

It's a common problem with any of the article directories hj. Currently about the only thing you can do is notify the web master and tell them they do not have your permission to use your article unless your links are included.

Sometime they will remove the article when threatened with legal action. It's probably too costly to get a lawyer involved but sometimes the threat does work.

I have a dozen or so articles on EA, and a bunch of other article directories, and every once in awhile I find that someone has stolen one of the articles.

Stealing is a simple matter of doing a copy/past of the article and they have it. One spinning program has suggested that it's ok to grab an article off EZ and rewrite it by about 70 or so percent and then spin it.  I don't know if that's OK, or not, but I'll bet it's done.  ::)

luck getting the article removed.

Hey,
I get plagiarized and ripped off all the time. At first, I was bummed.
I thought it over. I get a proxy, mass submit, and ruin any chance of
ranking for said plagiarist. That also blows me out of the water for that
article- but the satisfaction of f#$king that assh$%le up is worth
more than money.

If I got time on my hands, I hunt them down and screw them up
until they cry. It is easy.

ezine will remove an article if someone has copied yours.  Simply write to them and tell them the problem.  They will write back and ask for a link to your article.

This happened to me and ezine was great abouve taking down the article quickly.

CH,

That is great news! But, unfortunately it did not work for me.

The people (more than one) who have used my articles on their blogs,
and sites without leaving my links intact, still have them on their sites.

My articles are still on Ezine, their blogs still have my articles... :-\

Joyce,

My honest advice to you would be to just move on.

Take it as an occupational hazard.
