What programming language?
« on: August 19, 2010, 06:11:08 PM »
Hey Guys and Gals,

Do you know what programming language Jon uses to create his desktop software programs? I know Jon's web-based software programs are created using php, but what about his desktop applications? What programming language are they created in?

Best!
Welly

I don't know exactly what Jon uses, but, if you were thinking of getting a developer to make similar programs, then for Windows systems, some kind of C based language such as C++ of C# would do it.

Have something in mind?

It implies using many languages.
php, .net, javascript, Ruby, etc.

every language is more adapted to do certain task and you must use and integrate them together.

Aquarium care

I agree that different software is used for different things, however, the original question was about desktop software.  PHP, .net, javascript, Ruby are all web based languages - quite possibly ones which are used on the web based programs.
