Get Your Sites Indexed In Google In Minutes
« on: June 20, 2013, 06:35:38 PM »
I received this tip in an email. At first I blew it off but then decide to try it and found it worked.  It took me less than a minute to get five pages indexed doing the following.

1. Embed a youtube video in each page you want indexed.

2. Install the Google XML Sitemap for Videos plugin

3. Go to the plugins settings and then click Generate video sitemap. (you must have posts/pages with youtube videos in them)

4. When the video sitemap is generated, click ping Google on the sitemap page.

5. Within a few minutes your domain and the video pages will be indexed.

As I stated I tried this on a brand new domain and it worked.  I had five pages indexed in Google less than a minute after clicking on Ping.

I don't know how long this will work but it is great for quickly getting new sites indexed as long as it works.

The key seems to be adding the video sitemap generator and pinging after the site map is generated.  I have used youtube videos on a lot of my sites without seeing this quick indexing action.  This is the first time I have used this plugin on my sites but I will be using it from now on.  Or until this stops working.  :)

Cool. I'm new to internet marketing in general and I didn't even know that you can generate site maps for videos. Does it also cache the page? or just the site URL? If it doesn't cache the page, you can actually put a random video  in and take it out once its indexed

Why would you want to remove a video from the page.  Videos help keep people on the site longer if they watch the video.  You want people to stay on your site as long as possible, then click a paying link off your site.

So I would suggest you select a video that is relevant to your page and then leave it on the page once it is indexed.
