.PDF Manual For Post Amplifier?
« on: September 21, 2014, 03:57:13 PM »
I recently looked at 1 of my blogs that I installed PA on and noticed there was an upgrade. Had no idea there was even an upgrade. So I upgraded PA but have no clue how to sign up for these other networks that were added.

Is there a .PDF Manual For Post Amplifier so I start using it to it's fullest?

The upgrade was finished very late on Friday, after testing and tweaking.

As of right this second, there is no instructional manual (video or pdf) for the new version. That's what I'm working on right now.

We'll be releasing version 2 to new customers later this week, but existing customers get it early of course, for obvious reasons.

There are three major changes in version 2.

The first is allowing multiple accounts for each network.

The second is extra networks that are now available.

The third is the change in the posting features.

I'll be releasing instruction on how to use all the new features as fast as I can. We'll most likely email existing customers to let them know where to find that.

You don't have to upgrade to the new version rightaway if you want to wait. You can also use the new version (if you do upgrade) in the same way as the first version for now.

With all products like this instructions have to be done at the last minute so that we know what the final feature set is/allow time for tweaks/etc.

We had a question on the support desk and I thought the answer might be useful to give here. The question was
Quote
Specifically do I register 3 accounts with Reddit, StumbleUpon and FaceBook?

There are five that you have added Twitter, Delicious, Wordpress, Blogspot and
LinkedIn but when I go to the PostAmplifier setup, it says "0" accounts for each of these. Are they ready now?

The submission screens for Reddit, StumbleUpon and FaceBook have changed. All 3 have the option for a Custom URL - what do I put there?

Then for Reddit an option for Custom Anchor Text. Again, what do I put here?

Here's my reply:

You can register accounts with any or all of the networks. It's your choice which ones you want to use. Most people seem to be using all the different networks to get maximum diversity. Just don't publish spammy stuff or they'll notice!

LinkedIn but when I go to the PostAmplifier setup, it says "0" accounts for each of these. Are they ready now?

You can sign up for accounts with those networks and then add them into PostAmplifier. It shows "0" accounts because you haven't yet set any account logins yet in Post Amplifier.

Q) The submission screens for Reddit, StumbleUpon and FaceBook have changed. All 3 have the option for a Custom URL - what do I put there?

Normally, the submission URL is your actual post/page on your blog, but now you can specify *any other URL* you want. That's tremendously powerful. It means when you're creating posts you can use Post Amplifier to generate links to any other site/page/post you wish.

Q) Then for Reddit an option for Custom Anchor Text. Again, what do I put here?

This is similar to the above. It allows you to vary your anchor text so that you do not over optimize, or overdo your linking. You can leave it blank and the plugin will work out a default anchor text for you, but the ability to specify a customer anchor text is hugely powerful. If you vary and diversify your anchor texts a *lot*, it's tremendously powerful for keeping Google happy at the moment.

The latest videos for the new version can be viewed here:  http://easywpplugins.com/pavids/

I'm running a webinar on Monday for customers of PA to cover a few ideas on how to use the new version.  We'll make sure everyone is emailed details of how to view the webinar before then.

I'm not going to make a PDF of the training. It will all be video based.

It's a very powerful plugin and we're already working on version 3 (and version 4 in fact), which will add some incredible features.

When they are added I will make supplementary videos on the usage of the new features.

Thanks. Amin,

I watched the video. But what I and others need to know in addition to the information in the videos is what are the urls for the networks to sign up at? Do you the URLS to do the sign ups?

Hi grf,

Visiting the page of the specific network you can easily find registration information and details.

As an example http://newsvine.com has a Sign Up button right at the top of their main home page.

Reddit.com is similar with a register link on the main home page.

Each network is going to give you quite simple instructions on how to register and sign up on their main home page.
